Several years ago, he worked with my then high-school-aged daughter in Algebra 2 and Math Analysis (pre-calculus). It would be no exaggeration to say that without his help my daughter would not have been able to pass those classes. The math department at her otherwise excellent local high school is notorious for its poor instruction, and my daughter, who up to that point had had no difficulty whatsoever in math, did not pass the first semester of Algebra 2. She retook that course under Darren’s tutelage and passed it easily. After that, we all decided that she would be best served by opting out of the in-person math classes at her high school and acquire the necessary credits through online courses offered by various outside entities. With Darren’s weekly assistance, she got through the second semester of Algebra 2 and then both semesters of Math Analysis with relative ease. He subsequently helped her to prepare for the math part of the ACT. Over the course of two years, Darren restored my daughter’s confidence in her own math abilities—so much so that she is now pursuing global economics as her major in college. The curriculum for that is highly mathematical and she has been having no problem mastering the material, even to the extent of earning an ‘A’ in her calculus class. This would not have been possible without the solid foundation that Darren provided her while she was in high school. I cannot recommend him highly enough!”
